Guatemala City

The capital of Guatemala. Here we have very comfortable buses with capacity for 40 people and reclining seats that will be waiting outside the Aurora Int’l airport in Guatemala City. The Bus trip from Guatemala City to El Remate/Flores area is 8-10 hours. Make sure you plan to get into Guatemala City by the 19th to make it to the festival grounds by the 20th. Belize

This is the country of Belize which is next to Guatemala and the closest International airport to Tikal. The drive to Tikal from Belize is about 4 hours and you have to go through a border check. MHF has buses running FROM/TO Belize to the festival grounds in El Remate/Flores area. Look for tickets on our dedicated Int’l shuttle ticket page accessible from our website. Do check for Visa requirements if you do not have a USA Passport.

Cancun

Yes, you can arrive into Tikal from Cancun by land. Just outside the airport there is an ADO Bus terminal with buses running all day and night. So if you want to go straight to Belize or visit Tulum before heading down to MHF Cancun is a port of entry if you plan to visit Tulum before or after.

Airlines that service Guatemala/Belize/Cancun: Delta, America, United, Copa Air, Avianca (has a flight into Flores FRS), Volaris, Spirit, Alaska Air, Aeromexico, Southwest.

We have shuttles from Belize International Airport and from Guatemala City International Airport starting on Monday, December 17th.

CLARIFICATION: We have a Maya Express ticket on our main page. This is for a local shuttle system within a 10 mile radius of the Festival grounds between Tikal, Flores and El Remate only. These are NOT the International shuttle passes.
